Thank you for your patience while we worked through all of the details.
We are confirming that we will go ahead with the Vernon Camp, August 17 to 21, at Kal Tire Place. Unless the air quality improves we will remain indoors for the day. We have space booked in order to facilitate this. Our staff are very keen to work with your children and make this week memorable for them.
For the families no longer wishing to participate we will issue you a refund of your fees, minus a $20+taxes Admin fee to allow us to cover the cost of taking payment online. Next steps, please respond to this email by Friday, Aug 14th indicating you’d like to withdraw. We will then process the cancellation and you will receive an automated email confirming it’s been done. Emails can be sent to: questions@nationalringetteschool.com

Hi Vernon Camp Parents,
Please read this email in its entirety.
After speaking with our staff and with the facility operators, we have developed a plan to determine whether the Vernon Camp can move forward. We are hopeful that the camp can move forward as planned. Here are our considerations:
- Currently, the facility operators have indicated that the facility remains fully operational. They are business as usual. They are hosting some evacuees at this time, but are confident they have space for them and us. They are currently hosting a GVMHA camp and it’s going well.
- We have enough local staff to run the camp, so we would not have to rely on instructors coming in from out of town.
- We understand that some local parents and children are looking for this camp to help maintain a sense of normalcy and perhaps also as a distraction from the stressors outside their control. While others may feel more comfortable no longer attending camp.
- Note: If we move ahead with running the camp, it will be imperative that if there is a change in status from Emergency Management that parents are able to quickly come pick up their participants.
- We encourage any current registrants who were planning on travelling to Vernon for this camp from out of town (who do NOT own their own accommodations here) to either switch camp locations or withdraw from the Vernon camp.
- We recommend this as it will not further tax the infrastructure in Vernon.
